April 2022 NYMEX Natural Gas Contract Settled at $5.336

Natural gas futures for April 2022 expired on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at $5.336/MMBtu. The current 2022 annual average is at $5.048/MMBtu, which is high compared to recent years.

The energy market continues its volatility due to the trickledown effect of inflation coupled with energy dependence. If you are currently in a natural gas or electric supply agreement that is expiring soon, be prepared to pay a lot more.

It is never too early to shop for competitive energy prices, even if your current agreement is not up in the next 6 to 24 months. Muirfield Energy can assist you with helping manage your energy accounts and battle the rising prices. Feel free to reach out to Muirfield Energy’s corporate office at 888-370-8898 or via email at info@muirfieldenergy.com and we can set up a time to meet and see how Muirfield Energy can help you manage your businesses’ energy costs.
